Located on Lynches River in the Pee Dee region, this 676-acre park features a river swamp with towering cypress trees, as well as sand hills, offering a wide variety of vegetation. Popular activities at the park include canoeing, camping, nature trails, Splash Pad, picnicking, geocaching, and a visit to the Environmental Discovery Center. Our 11,000 square foot community building can accommodate groups of up to 400 people.

Lynchetts has an intriguing history. Built in 1785, the house incorporates buildings from the 1600s, creating an unusual mix of beamed, cottage style rooms and Georgian, high ceilinged reception rooms. The house was requisitioned during the Second World War, when it became the temporary home of the famous Harrison Chronometers, which were moved for safekeeping from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.
